Day 1: Mundaring to Carinyah Hut

The official Northern terminus of the route is located at Sculpture Park in Mundaring.

Things kick off with some smooth-rolling doubletrack and singletrack, leading to the Perth Hills Discovery Campground, the first campground on the route. For those starting late, this could potentially be an easy first afternoon. Be sure to stop in at the historic Mundaring Weir Hotel.

After a big climb, the route sticks to doubletrack that’s sometimes slow going due to the amount of loose pea gravel.
